Hi Tracy,
I have noticed that I get shaky hands sometimes before a period. It's more obvious in my right hand too, but I am right hand dominate so perhaps I just notice it more in that hand. I would describe it as a tremor. I get clumsy too and will drop things. So for me hormones seem to play a role as it's not constant. Having said that it is also worth considering what else could be causing it and noting if you get any other symptoms with it such as pain or tingling. Have you had any recent blood tests to check for anemia, your thyroid, blood sugar levels or vitamin deficiencies? Anxiety can also cause lots of unpleasant symptoms. Hopefully you can find out the cause which can give you some relief or peace of mind, wishing you all the best.

Hi thank you for replying, yes I've had alot of blood work done, thyroid, glucose, insulin, iron, ferritin, vitamins, hormones etc my hormones levels are very low due to having a total hysterectomy and my vitamin d was a bit low which a had an injection for and I'm on hormones but this shaking really scares me 😞

Hi Tracy,
it's good that you have had lots of blood tests to rule things out, hopefully that gives you some peace of mind. I think any symptom we have is scary if we don't the reason so I feel for you. Sends the mind racing! It may well be due to your hormones, they seem to cause many weird and wonderful symptoms! Low vitamin D can cause muscle weakness so could be a cause for the shakiness in your arms and hands. Have they rechecked your level since having the injection? Perhaps keep a symptom diary to see if there is any pattern to when you get the shaking. Also, have you started any new medication recently, if so maybe have a look at the list of any potential side effects?
Please let us know how you are getting on, we are hear to listen,

i also get shaky hands and feel like my nerves are on edge. it doesn't happen all the time but when it does i get incredibly anxious which makes it worse, it happened today whilst i was at work and then i started slurring my words, i was fine again by the afternoon but im finding some of these symptoms quite hard to deal with especially in the workplace.
