Physical Therapy Issue

I had my TKR Nov 1 and have been in PT. Trouble getting knee bend past 95. Just found out that my new medical insurance for 2018 gave me wrong information regarding my copay, it's $60 per visit not $30. Going 3 times a week is financially impossible. How long did you all stay in PT? Looks like I'm going to have to stop going.

In UK it's once a week! You will be fine with that.. some people get next to nothing. You can do the work at home.

I would go once learn the exercises, do them religiously at home for 2 or 3 weeks then go back and get updated instructions that's about how it took before anything was changed. When I went to pool exercises I used youtube. Good luck

I'm in UK so BHS had 6 sessions weekly but loads of home exercises and there is a lot on line. To be honest I felt my 30 minute sessions with the physio mainly consisted of measuring and was so swollen the 1st 8 weeks it was better exercising at home. I felt my home stationery home helped loosen things up.. I do think the USA PT seems pretty intense. Yes you have to.put the work in but I think it's dedication to.home exercise that helps and further down the line pool work or whatever floats your BizTalk the best

I had my TKR in July 2016, I did not do any real physio , did straightening and bending in a hot bath. Was on my feet a lot from 6 weeks, so I was active.
I went to a sports physio sessions 4 times .
So it is possible to get through this without a lot of physio, as long as you are aware you need to recover your knee straightening to 0 and bend to at least 120.
Much of which comes with time if you are active.
Good healing
