Physio therapy?

i had a total knee replacement 18 years ago and it is still great. At the time the surgeon said that my left knee would probably need attention and he was right. Same pain and symptoms. I'm not insured now and the free surgery at a public hospital is years away, if I even qualify. My Dr suggested physiotherapy and I'm booked in for assessment. I'm wondering if it would actually help. I have to go pay as well, but that's ok if it does help. i mentioned Steroid treatment to my Dr but he said to see the Physio first. Any thoughts? Thanks.
