Picked/squeezed fordyce spots
Posted , 2 users are following.
I had fordyce spots on my shaft and before I realized they were harmless I tried to squeeze them until white stuff came out. I also scrubbed them with dove soap and some tea tree oil in the shower a lot. Now, they are flat and white and look scarred. One looks white with a brownish ring around it. How can I relieve some of the damage I have done, and get rid of these scars or maybe just the bumps in general. Also, I've noticed why skin isn't as loose as it used to be and so when flaccid it is really tight and shrunk up instead of loosely hanging down. What can I do please help.

What age are you? Often clear photos show far more accurately what it is you are trying to describe ....

What you have where the white stuff came out is an infection: it is quite possible some or at least one of the things you squeezed - what you now believe to be a fordyce spot(s) was actually a bump or lump caused by a skin issue causing a bump, and this was infected.
So, you must clear the infection first: do this using an undiluted Liquid Antiseptic which you dab directly on the area where the white stuff was with a fingertip.
You will likely need to do this for for 5 days - apply 4 or 5 times daily.
It is quite possible that you have caused damage with the dove and tea tree oil 'treatment' that you used in the shower.
You need to let this damage heal naturally, and this could take some months depending on the amount of damage you have caused - and by months I do mean in-excess of 6 months +.
In terms of this:
" I've noticed why skin isn't as loose as it used to be and so when flaccid it is really tight and shrunk up instead of loosely hanging down. What can I do " - you will need to let the healing process sort out the initial skin issues before you can then treat the whole skin on the entire shaft or your penis.
One option you have is to seek professional medical treatment: a Dermatologist would help you sort out the skin issues you have, and what they are likely to give you would be a steroid application that could potentially speed the whole healing process, and make healing more successful.
In addition, by a medical professional seeing the actual skin issues you have they may see things that would be best treated in different ways, so you may be given different medication based on the ACTUAL treatment needs that you ACTUALLY have .....

okay thanks so much. Yeah so pretty much the one i popped is now a little cyst. Would the liquid antiseptic cause further scarring as the penis skin is very gently and antiseptic can be fairly harsh? Do you recommend I just don't even use lube or lotion or anything on the area for 6 months? Won't doing nothing just cause everything to get worse as I am waiting longer to treat it? i dont know just some questions I have hope you can get back to me on them. appreciate your help.

So first of all, I only respond to posts on here once a day - that in effect means it will be anywhere between 24 and 36 hours or so before I could potentially respond again.
So what you need to get in place is natural healing. The situation you have created on your penis means that initial repair and then healing will be quite a time consuming process: this is NEVER days or weeks, at minimum it would be several months but more likely in the order of 6 to 9 months or potentially longer until the current scarring can potentially heal.
As I detailed, where any infection exists this must be cleared first. And yes, liquid antiseptic can be harsh but it is the quickest way to remove infection so that repair can start to occur. The alternative is to use a diluted liquid and this may take longer to clear the infection. I have found that over the years particular cream versions of antiseptic can assist in the healing process, but this could be an individual thing, one brand that works for my skin may not be as effective for other individuals.
In terms of lube or lotion, again this is an individual thing, what provides an aid for repair for one person can cause irritation for another - the simple guide is stay clear of these.
Again as I have detailed, if you want to make repair and healing potentially quicker, through the use of steroid applications as one potential way of doing this would be to see a Dermatologist ....

okay thank you. Yeah I am just afraid to use the liquid antiseptic, i've read on a forum wherre multiple people said it caused damage and scarring and even more irritation. do you think if I literally just don't put anything on the skin of my penis other than aquafor for 6 months it will still heal?

I have no experience of using aquafor - if you have infection in the skin you risk this continuing to cause problems.
I would see little to no risk in using an antiseptic for 3 to 5 days.
Your best source of support on this would be to work with a Dermatologist to achieve the best outcome possible - the problems that this issue has created may be with you for the short to medium-term future, what your penis heals like with be with you for the remainder of your life. I would want to achieve the best outcome possible .....
