It could be a yeast infection. I've had reddening, itching and soreness without discharge when I've had a yeast infection. However, it could be something else like BV. BV creates a disgusting fishy smell - do you have that? You could take the monistat - is that an oral tablet? What country are you in? Here in the uk we have a 150mg single dose tablet of fluconazole. Even if i have a slight itch i take the fluconazole and another one 3 days later. You could try taking the monistat and see if it helps. You should not be having sex while you are infected. If it is a yeast infection you can give it to your partner and they can give it back to you once you are better. men can be asymptomatic but carry it and give it back to you. You need to treat yourself and your partner at the same time. Men can take the oral tablet but they respond well to cream (clotrimazole cream, here in the uk) which they should apply 2-3 times a day for 10 days.

im in the US monistate is a vaginal suppository that is inserted at night for however long the version you purchase is for they have a one time use which is a strong does of meds a three night use and a seven night use i purchased the three night one because thats all my local store had
im just afraid because online it says if could make matters worse if its not really a yeast infection
it started right before my period and was more intense in the whole itching and feeling swollen thing but one my cycle was over it felt much better, not back to normal but better.
the past 3 days id felt normal unless i had just gone to the bathroom, to wipe still felt strange afterwards.
so my fiance and i decided to have sex since itd been almost 2weeks and everything was fine until the actual intercorse which was extremly painful but there was pain during insertion which there never has been

Ah, i don't like to use suppositories or creams - they are too harsh and sting me. Fluconazole is taken as an oral tablet. You must not have sex - that will make things worse. it does sound like a yeast infection because hormone levels can affect these. Some women have yeast infections every month just before every period. Like i said, treat your partner too. Taking anti-yeast medicine can make it worse if you have BV.

planned parenthood is a clinic that is open and welcoming to everyone male or female including the whole LBGTQ but they work with you if you dont have insurance (like me) to have a cheaper bill. it is a good option for low income families
so it was a bacterial infection which i have to take flagyl teice a day for a week and one pill of fluconazole at the start of taking the other and another at the end of the seven days

I have all of these same symptoms. And I can't go to a doctor to check it out because of the corona and everything is closed down except the grocery and pet shops where I live. What should I do? I'm a virgin so it can't be smith serious I'm guessing. But still. And for medication I need a doctors prescription. Should I go with the greek yogurt tampon thing ? Or do you have any other suggestions ?

Hi, I'm 18 and a virgin and have a similar problem too and I can't leave the house either because of the virus.
At first, around 2 months ago the symptoms were mild and from what I had researched, I thought I had vulvar contact dermatitis. The area of my skin down there was dry and slightly itchy. I didn't pay much attention.. after my period finished, I decided to use Veet shaving cream and it had only worsened the situation. I started to feel stings and told my mom about it, and she told me i might have a yeast infection. So I went to use the Canesten thrush cream and it helped to soothe the stings and dryness. I continued to use the cream for the next 2 days and I was fine for a couple of weeks. After this, my symptoms had started to develop. My skin was no longer dry. I googled and my symptoms were the closest to BV and Thrush. The genital area is slightly red, I have a smelly discharge that's grey-ish white, and I feel itching. I have a few blisters too, just like in the picture she posted ^ and they almost look like tiny tiny bites into the skin.
So now I want to know if I have any of Thrush or Bacterial Vaginosis so I could buy a Canesten Test and see which one I have so I can treat it. I really hope I don't have something else... any help?
