I used to put pillows down the side of my leg whilst I had to sleep on my back and they just nudged and supported me which helped me to sleep better on my back. It took some experimenting with but in the end I slept well. The scar can make side sleeping really hard. I have also recently tried one single session of hypnotherapy and it has improved my sleeping no end. I dont usually go in for that sort of thing but now would highly recommend it - one hour has delivered hundreds of better hours sleep. Good luck

Just try not to rush things. I treated myself to a tablet and watched whole series of TV shows which was a great distraction and helped with sleep problems too.
Good luck and be patient! x
