Pimple/Bump on Meatus

Posted , 9 users are following.

I have been suffering with this for almost 3 months now. One day I woke up and randomly had this irritation on my penile meatus. I got tested for all STDs twice and went to 5 different doctors and a urologist who briefly glanced at it. I have also been experiencing testicular pain and after the visit with the Urologist I was diagnosed with prostatitis. I am 26 years old and am becoming stressed over this issue. The bump on the meatus is irritated and hurts whenever it rubs against any clothes. I have been on doxycycline, rocephin, asithromiasin and am now currently taking cipro. The urologist gave me some cream (lotrisone) for the bump and i have been using it for a week now with no signs of relief. I am desperate for some answers could it possibly be a wart? It is extreamly painful when rubbed against things and does not itch. Please help or if someone has experienced something similar.

You may not be getting any replies on this as no one else may have experienced this.

You have done the right things in consulting all the different medical professionals. I would go with the diagnosis of the Urologist. While the medication may not be having the desired impact, it may be too early to tell. Perhaps the medication from the Urologist does not suit you - I would go back after another 2 or 3 weeks if it is no better and work with them to find they medication that is right for you. This may mean trying several different things - so, you may need to be really patient about this, despite the discomfort you are experiencing .....

thank you for replying i have another appointment with the urologist but its not for another month. do you think i should go to a dermatologist?

You need to see a Specialist who you can go to without an appointment via a Doctor. So, I am supposing you are in the UK? The best places for this are Specialist Sexual Health Centres such as the Walk-in centres many large cities have - or if you are in the UK a GUM Clinic at a General Hospital. If you have work commitments and so on, find the phone number of the local service you can get to in person, phone and briefly say what has happened in terms of the medication you have been given, and that you would like to see someone before your next Urologist appointment. Some of these services may make a specific time suggestion to suit you better, or perhaps even make a specific appointment time when you can make it ....

Do NOT apply any creams, lotions or anything like that - these could make your situation much worse.

You need to see a doctor or a sexual health specialist - the later deal with ALL genital and reproductive health issues ....

It would help to know which country you live in if you respond?
