Pin removal

Hi I am having 2 pins removed on Tuesday from my toe and my anxiety level is off the charts..I want to ask my surgeon to either numb my toe or knock me out

any advice

    Hi I was the same way when he got ready to remove the pin I had my eyes closed and asked if I was ok I said I'm waiting for you to take the pin out and he responded already did oh my I didn't feel a thing I think you will be ok wish you well

      Thank you for replying...I feel better knowing others have gone through the anxiety and survived the dreaded removal of pins 😊

    Hi Thibby. I had 3 pins removed and I was about to cry and have a panic attack because I was so scared...I watched videos on youtube and this calmed me down a little because everyone seemed completely fine. It's literally a few seconds and then it's done!! I didn't feel anything but pressure on the 2 pins but the third one hurt mostly because the doc's hand slipped and he needed to pull 3 times to get it out. But even then it lasted for a few seconds. You'll feel much better after I promise...so don't worry about it:) Our anxiety makes it look so terrible but really it's a simple procedure that even kids go through without pain!

      hi I had my pin removed on June 23 and my toe is still swollen I'm wondering how long will it stay that way i go back for a recheck on Aug 1st
