I have a BNF book (probably shouldn't, totally puts me off all medication) but I'm battling side effects. Been getting a few head aches and pins and needles is annoying but worst by far is the heart burn! I hope they settle down and God knows how I'm ever going to get off them rolleyes xx

What is a BNF book?  You get off of them very slowly!  I was as high as 150 mg. when i said enough, I want off this train!   My Dr. was totally against this, it wasn't her that was suffering terrible side effects.  She took me down slowly 25 mg for 2-3 weeks at a time.  It took me three months to come off of them.  I've been off 13 months and and still awake most mornings with nausea, tummy cramps, and loose bowels!   I finally feel like myself though after two years of hell.

many however do well on them.  I have a friend that's been on them for 20 years for depression, no problem, except weight gain.  i also gained 30 lbs ~ ugh!

It's a terrible book pharmacists have which has side effects of basically every single medicine out there haha, terrible for me with health anxiety. Never wanna take any meds.

I'm not sure whether to continue the sertraline or not, I'm not keen on meds as it is and these side effects are just worrying me that I have MS or something. I'm a little unsure, I only started taking them because I was so depressed x

it will take at least a month to six weeks my Dr. told me to know if they are effective.   I wouldn't worry about MS as I know the pins and needles are a side effect of the med.  You may feel better in time, each of us react differently to meds. I was on them for anxiety due to seasonal effective diorder.

My son is on effexor for depression, after trying two or three different ones, this one has been effective for him.  It's trial and error and what works best for the individual.  Take care.
