Pins and needles throughout my body??

Posted , 4 users are following.

It’s very hard to explain the sensation I’m feeling .. the only way I can describe it is a tingling throughout my body.. I first started to notice it in my back and belly but it’s not in my legs and arms too.. tends to be at this time of night(early morning) when I can’t sleep also.. any advice on how to deal with it myself? As you can imagine I’m getting rather sick of doctors appointments 😂😫

Also any ideas of what it is first and foremost.. anyone else have the same sensation and can shed some light on the cause??

You sound like me 4 years ago. My doctor explained that this feeling is caused by the small nerve cells in the brain, which are affected by ME/CFS. I actually had a nerve-conduction test, which revealed nothing--probably, because the problem is in the brain. I've never tried any drugs to deal with this, because I'm so sensitive to drugs. But some tricyclic antidepressants might help, like Amitriptyline. Also, if you're in an area where it's legal, I've read that marijuana can actually help with nerve issues. Finally, some drugs that diabetics use for neuropathy might be worth investigating, like gabapentin and pregabalin. I not only have pins and needles, but also burning sensations. Very unpleasant.

I get this also but in my legs and have had property much constantly since first being diagnosed 6 months ago. It's not painful just pretty annoying and like you is worse at night time to the point where my leg sometimes feel numb. I have got a wooden massage roller which does help alleviate the symptoms so you could try that, and also taking magnesium and glucosamine has helped a little bit.

The cols makes mine worse too so pray for more sun! ??
