Pins and needles/tigly hands

Posted , 10 users are following.

Hi ladies does anyone else out there get tingly hand/hands sort of round the wrist? Ive had this a couple of weeks now off and on and am very anxious about it. Its not bad but i know its there. Usually my left hand. If it was in my writing hand i would have thought it was RSI but its in my left hand/wrist mostly.

I did check with foc as i was worried it was heart related but he said its not uncommon. Any reassurance or advice gratefully received if you have s moment. Many thanks 😄

    hi louise

the worst phase of my peri experience started with the pins and needles experience and tingly hands.

i felt little tiny bubbles in the soles of my feet

my left palm started feeling numb and i found myself staring at it i remember trying to figure out

while sleeping i usually keep both hands above my head and when i woke i found them both cold and numb

i would associate it to my stomach being empty beacuse i would be shaking all over too

so i kept food near my bed and ate very early morning

these symptoms dont occur everyday but they do occur even now

Hi Louise, I have suffered with tingling hands & doc thought it was carpel tunnel syndrome. It used to wake me up at night & I read it was best to keep your hands below your head when sleeping if possible. However I am a part time artist, plus I had whiplash years ago. So to cut a long story short I went to an Osteopath who realigned my body & this helped although I still get it occasionally. I think it's all to do with posture and I probably need to do Pilates or Yoga. Hope this helps

Hello. I have the same thing in my left arm and wrist as well, it turns out that I have bulging discs in my neck that are bumping into nerves. I thought at one point it was heart related. Thankfully it wasn't. I went to physical therapy and it is resolving the issue, but it's only a temporary fix. Good luck.

Hi Louise, I've just woke up but had a night of tingling, numb hands and I'm sure it's been cause of the meno and posture and nothing to worry about but it's always good to rule things out. The way I look at things is if it doesn't feel right and someone I knew had this sensation would I advise them to see a doctor. I think if you want to reassure yourself then you should see the doctor that's what they are there for and there's only one of you so you deserve to be looked after. I also think the meno does cause us to worry more so sometimes we can go off at the deepens. But a good doctor may also be able to help with anxiety. I usually write everything down then I can cover all my concerns and hopefully not have to visit again. Sorry if I'm waffling and I hope my advice helps ☺️☺️☺️

You're welcome Louise - good luck with the docs. The pillow is a must - I've had a few minor neck problems and having a good pillow did help ☺️☺️ xx

I've had a weird neck for some time. It was just clicking and clunking for a few years but now from time to time I wake with a very sore stiff neck.

We got some new pillows a few days ago because I keep moaning about it. Hopefully they will help.

Yeah definitely gonna try new pillows too. I went to acupuncture today and had needles posioned in certain areas and its improved already. My acupuncturist said it is related to vertebrea c6 and c7 in my neck and when she pressed those areas boy did I agree. Acu is not for everyone I know but its helped me with this and other peri issues (sleep, constipation and low moods).

Take care hun and thanks for replying xxxx
