Hi Naomi,
it's so stressful isn't it, I think the time scale varies depending on which area you live. I had my assessment last week and they told me 6 - 8 weeks. I hope you hear soon x

Hi miss naomi02913
just to answer your question, I have successfully been awarded PIP since 2010 at the enhanced rate. I have a lot of problems doing things for myself as I lose concentration quite a lot, coupled with the fact a haven't left the house for over 4 years. They base their decision on a point based system, the more points you get, the better chance you have of getting awarded PIP.
Dont worry about anything to do with your claim, just make sure that you see your Doctor and get support from them as PIP will contact your GP in relation to your claim. Hope this helps you, if you want anymore help, please just ask - Pete

You always have a chance to appeal if the decision doesn't go your way. Anyone that requires support or has to live with an illness that affects the way you live everyday, should have the chance to receive benefits to help them. You'll be fine - Pete
