PIP called me again?

I did a PIP assignment this year (through the post with the official PIP forms in Northern Ireland), and two months ago, they told me I was getting PIP through a letter and that my rates were slightly higher. It was going to change on April 2022 during the Annual Update.

Now this week, Capita (who I have never heard of before) want a phone consultation with me, and they sent me an appointment in the post. They're looking to call me around 11:45am at May 16th...

What do I do? I am confused, and I got this on short notice.

Is it really gonna happen, is it a scam? Has it happened to anyone else? Please help. Thanks.

If you filled in forms then it will be your assessment. The letter you received was the annual uprating letter and not a decision letter as you likely thought it was.

Most people have assessments when claiming PIP, even if it's a review. Assessments can take place either by phone, face to face or video call and Capita do them in N.Ireland. No, it's not a scam. The assessment can last anywhere from 20-120 minutes, sometimes longer.

Thank you for your reponse, Denise. I had my assessment today, and I hope that everything goes well. Sorry it took a while for me to get back to you.

      Wontly
