Can anyone advise me. I've been awarded the enhanced mobility award fir pip. is it worth getting a car. do they take all of your enhanced mobility award to pay for it or just some of it. is it a real hassle to sort out getting a car or is it a pain.

Most cars from motability use up all of the mobility payment yes. Some cars you also have to pay an down payment before collecting it but it totally depends what you choose and the level of spec. Whether any adaptions are needed because some adaptions you have to pay for, while others are done free of charge.
Ordering is simple all you need to do is ring a dealer of your choice and make an appointment to see a disability adviser. Take your PIP award, and driving license with you and you'll be able to test drive as many cars as you want from as many dealers as you want. Once you've chosen the car it's order. Delivery time of your car can be anything from 2 weeks to several months. If it's already at the dealers then it's just a couple of weeks. If they have to wait for it to be delivered then it takes longer. You don't do anything but choose what you want and then wait. Money is stopped from your PIP until you sign for the car. Plenty of information on the mobility website plus a list of every single car available....literally hundreds of them. Have fun chosing and great news on the award.
