    Hi,

There's no timecales to these decisions caroline, it all depends on the backlog in your area. A few days after the assessment you can ring DWP and ask them to send you a copy of the assessment report, this will give you some  idea what the decision will be as mostly they go with that report.

If the worst comes to the worst and the decision doesn't go in your favour, your PIP will stop 4 weeks after the decision is made. DON'T re-apply! I would advice you to ask for the Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) then Tribunal if that fails. If you re-apply after being refused there's a higher chance they'll refuse you again, without an assessment. Hopefully it won't come to this, if it does come back and i'll advice you further.

Did you send in evidence to support your claim? Even though it's a review you still need to send in the evidence. Good luck and please come back and tell us the outcome.

      Reply .’yes gave them all

      No problem,

PIP isn't awarded based on a diagnosis so the fibromyalgia diagnosis makes no difference. It's how those conditions affect you daily that matters. What award do you have now?

Yes, everyone gets scared with the reviews and assessments, i was the same last year for mine. That's perfectly normal. Hopefully everything will be fine and you won't have to wait too long for a decision.

Remember to answer those questions with as much detail as possible and avoid answering with just a yes or no. This assessment is exactly like the first one you had. Ringing for a copy of the report will help you know what the decision is likely to be.

Fingers crossed for you. Do you claim an Income Related benefit as well, with the disability premiums? or does anyone claim Carers Allowance for looking after you? If you do and your PIP daily living is stopped then these will stop too. Only telling you so you'll be prepared if the worst does happen. Good luck!

Yes I get severe disability premium on top of my esa benefit Hun

Feeling sick of it all really am

      Sorry

      Caroline

Yes this is one benefit that will stop if the daily living part doesn't continue. It's a worry for everyone going through this. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do right now so try to relax as much as you can, i know that's extremely hard to do. Once the decision's been made if you need further advice please just ask.

      Hi

I'm glad it went ok. There's no time scales for decisions and the assessors have no idea what the time frames are either, so i'm unsure why they tell people this. They're also not allowed to tell you any info about what the decision is likely to be either. That was wrong of that person to do that.

I can't tell you the amount of times i've heard people say that and the assessor has turned around and stabbed them in the back when the report has come back. Hopefully this won't happen to you.

I don't know what you mean by "is this true, sorry"

You can ring DWP middle of next week and ask them to send you a copy of the assessment report. This will give you some idea what the decison will be as mostly they go with that report.

If the decision goes in your favour you'll have a new award date. If it doesn't go in your favour then your payments will continue for 4 weeks and then they'll stop, regardless of your original award date. Good luck and hopefully you're not waiting too long.

      Hi,

Yes that would have been the decision  maker/case manager. Sometimes they ring and ask questions before making a decision, they did it with my PIP review. The person most likely made a decision straight after the call. Usually those calls are just made to confirm a few things.

Try ringing mid mid afternoon today and you may just find a decision's been made. if they can't tell you today then ring  again tomorrow. Good luck and please do come back and tell us the outcome.

Mine went in my favour. I was also asked when i'd got worse, even though i clearly stated this on the form i sent. My guess is he wanted to verify i was telling the truth lol

Hopefully it will go in your favour too.
