I no Exactly how you feel but it isn't PIP it's the ATOS Healthcare or whoever they use in your area I had the same happened to me the bloke that assessed me said I could do more than what I physically could he didn't even test me on half of the stuff all you got to do is ask for a mandatory reconsideration sending them all your medical proof and decision should be overturned because it will go to a different assessor

That's not true about the Mandatory Reconsideration, sorry. Most MR decision remain the same. In fact 80% of them do. When a claimant asks for a MR there's no re-assessment at all. All it is, is a different decision maker/case manager that looks at the report and makes a decision from there. Most MR decisions are rubber stamped with the exact same decision/reasons that the first decision was. Which is why going to Tribunal will give you the best chance of a decision in your favour. Only problem is, is that you can't take it to Tribunal without first asking for the MR.

I didn't have that problem I asked for mandatory reconsideration it went to a different case manager which is the word I was meant to use sorry and the decision got overturned took about eight weeks for them to do this though when they told me it would only take 4

Also sending in all medical evidence during the mandatory reconsideration process helped I suppose if you've got healthcare professionals involved with you as well if they send in a statement from them as my social worker done for me it helps

You were more than lucky I would say, obviously you didn't send in all the relevant information with your original claim, this would account for yours being one of the minority that actually doesn't have to go to appeal, even saying that they don't usually like your medical evidence sent with MR because you waste their time and resources, to anyone else reading this please gather all your documents together to send in with the original claim.
Much better to get it sorted instead of having to go the MR/tribunal route

Yes indeed, you were extremely lucky to be in the 20% who are successful at MR stage. It's always better to send in the relevant evidence with a claim form, which is why i always advice this to others.
There's also no timescales to MRs or any other decisions. They can infact take as long as they want. Which is why yours took 8 weeks.
