PIP is awarded based on how your condition/s affect you in daily life. If a person has difficulty in daily life then they maybe able to claim it but evidence will be needed.

Thanks for that I have sent information in and evidence of when I had operation on my knee and about how it affects me.I have also told them about when I saw a pain doctor about my finger who has diagnosed neuropathic pain in it.Do you know if my payments for my hand may stop as my finger is deformed due to operation on it.I cannot do a lot of things with it due to the unusual  sensation in it.

Pau2, i'm sorry but you'll have to wait for the assessment. I have no idea what will happen. I just know that they'll look at your whole award again. I can't tell you if your payments will stop. If you're not successful then they will stop. Please try to stop worrying as there's nothing you can do until you hear back from them. This may take a while. Sorry.

It is very frustrating. I completely understand. No one can give you any answers though. Like i said before you'll more than likely be called for another assessment. I was and mine was a review. Try and focus your mind on something else, i know that's easier said than done but it's really the only thing you can do right now. Hopefully it won't be much longer.

Hi paul If your already getting Dla. Whilst this review goes ahead you still get your regular payments . Then once the assesments done. If you qualify. Its around 6 wks after the change in payments take place. Again youll still get dla 1 last time. Arthritas is what I have mines in my spine though. But I also havent had a operation as is degenerative. But Of course Your knee is is and must effect your mobility. I wouldnt worry too much. Easier said then done though. Just dont be shy in telling them how bad it is. And take alook at the questions on the pip website. I found that by going on the DWP website which I found so helpful. As you can do a self assesment. So youll see in advance what questions they ask. Goodluck

Pau2 doesn't get DLA, he already claims PIP but reported that his condition had got worse. He's been through the PIP process before.
