Pip review

Hello just looking for some information I have just got my pip review after basically a year and a half for mental health it took a year to get it back as I had to go to the courts for an appeal .i didn’t even get f2f assessment as they didn’t give me it because I could hold a conversation over the phone so I ended up goin down the long road with all the appeals which I won it back as the judge couldn’t believe they didnt give me the f2f assessment ...now I got my review letter last week and I’m scared case I have to go through it all again I have lots of letters of my nurses my doctors my specialist aswell I don’t no why they would have to have a f2f when a nurse comes to see me every day as my mental health is worsening has anyone got it back with mental health after a review thanks

    Hi Lauren,

    As you were awarded it through a Tribunal then it's most likely the PIP2 forms (the very long one) that you will need to fill in and not the shortened version for the reviews. Have you been sent the form, or does the letter tell you, you need to ring PIP for them to send it to you?

    Only 47% of people are successful, whether it's a review or first claim. You'll need to send all the evidence again to backup your claim. No one can really tell you if you'll be successful or not. New ruling has recently come out for mental health for following and planning a journey so fingers crossed you'll be successful this time without the MR/Tribunal Route. Good luck.

      Hello Denise yes it’s the review one I got the other week I’m just hoping I don’t have to go through the courts again it took forever I last time I have lots of letters to help me for evidence I got given lower care and I got given lower mobility but my nurses said I should be on higher care it we’rent supposed to be reviewed till jan 2019 but it’s normal to get the renewal papers a year before thank you xx

      Yes, reviews are always 1 year before the award is due to end. Just send as much evidence as possible. When filling out that form i'd also advice adding as much info as possible. Most people have assessments even for reviews. Fingers crossed for you! xx
