Hi, I'm new to here, I wanted to ask when you had your tribunal did you get the decision on the day or did they say they will write to you with there outcome?
I had mine today and they have said they will write to me which makes me think they have refused it. I've been waiting nearly a year now and its really getting me down now.
Any advise would be great.
Thanks

Hello Sally,
I'm not really qualified to comment I'm afraid as I've not actually been to a tribunal, but there are a lot of people on here who could offer some advice, so I don't think you will not have long to wait. xx

Hi they asked me if I wanted the decision on paper or to be told there and then after a load more, questions they asked me to go in waiting area and the judge came out and told me I was successful and what rates I'd be on

Why

Hi reason why is because at first he decided I'd be on standard rate but then ask me to come back in as the doctor and some other women wanted to ask me ask about how I manage different things and basically my health and disability how it affects me then they sent me back out again and judge said we've finally decided are decision would you like us to send it to you in post or tell you face to face so I said I'd rather no now so he told me

Even so, what you are saying is that after the Tribunal had heard all of the answers to their questions they had decided the result to be 'standard' Then the panel thought about it a bit more so asked you to come back in for more questioning which resulted in 'enhanced'.
The only question I would have asked was 'why wasn't the hearing concluded in one sitting - why did they feel the need to do it in two halves? In my opinion that is poor and indequate questioning by the Tribunal. Certainly not the professional way that court hearings should be carried out.
What would have happened if it went the other way - how would you have felt? Being offered 'standard' then after additional questioning some time later they decided not to award anything?
Personally I would not have accepted how the hearing was carried out without making my feelings known to the chair/judge.

I think it was because I was so distressed that the judge decided to give me a break but jst found it strange that they first decided to give me standard rate but then asked me to come back when I was ok then ask a few more questions I think if I had said no then it might like u said gone against me either way I could have got it or not it's a chance you have to take but I'm glad I did but I'm no better off now as dwp have put in a appeal but judge is takin the p*ss and still not sent the statement of reasons to them and my court date was bk in July so I'm still left in limbo as to what is going on wether they will be granted a appeal or not it's very distressing and has made me even more I'll than what I was

Id like to say i went for my pip tribunal today and was told i would be awarded enanced on both mobility and living componant. I was in front of a lawer doctor and a specialist doc in my conditions. I was so pleased to be awarded this as this has been going on since may. They told me that it would take upto 3 weeks to get my money. They also said an email would be sent to the social straight away. So once i got home ibrang the social who told me i was now in limbo as they have 28 days tfor them to go against the decision. What is going on can someone' please help me as i thought the tribunal was final.

Congrats on your awards! I didn't think the social could do that, it's baffling. Surely they can't overturn a tribunal

Just incase you don't see what i posted as you asked the same question multiple times. Here is my answer ...
Hi Lou, first of all the DWP will have to apply to the tribunal for the statement of reasons. Then they would have to find an error in law in the decision that was made. Rare finding in my oppinion. I wouldn't worry. Well done on your fantastic news. Relax now and wait is my advice as payments often take a while.
