hya i have just been diagnosed with P R my back is covered in whaels and spots including my neck jaw line and forehed stomach and on my chest and rib area.
I was firstly told i had an alergic reaction then i went back to the GP and had an urgent appointment with the dermotologist i am now on week three and the itching continues.
previously i had a migraine, then a week later i came out in this rash which developed to P R.
I experienced (tachycardiac episode) where i was breathing fast also, i have been feeling a little unwell weak at the legs and a bit moody.
The more we continue to post our expereince of this un-known P R maybe we will be able to diagnose this better in the future.
I am a medical professional and feel it is obviously of great importance to us all to find the true route of this condition.

I too have been diagnosed with PR and have had it for about three weeks. It has progressed from my stomach, back, neck through to my scalp.
After many visits to the doctors I have finally been advised to use DiproBase cream and Piriton allergy tablets to relieve itchiness. Finding it a bit difficult to accept that no cure exists.

I am sorry to find you have expereinced pr too, however my itchie.....part of pr has stopped now i have since used hydrocortisone 1.0% and clotrimazole 1.0% canesten cream you can buy it over the counter and hydromol ointment.
I found as the itchie episode stopped my skin felt very dry.
The cream and ointment mentioned has helped greatly.
I have hade it almost a month now.
I am feeling a little unwell at times i have been feeling a bit nausea's and lathargic weak both legs and arms. Off my food since the itchie...episode stopped i am now on day eight.
I hope you get better soon.

I have been using the same cream Canestan HC at first it worked a treat and totaly cleared my rash, I was using it 3 times daily along side Diprobase. I then went on holiday and only used it once a day and when I came home the rash flared up again.
It costs around £5 for a small tube and I need to cover my stomach, back and neck, at this rate I'll be poor and blotchy! Did your PR clear completly after the itching stopped? I'm wondering whether to just use Diprobase and piriton?
