My 10 daughter has just been diagnosed with PR.  sad She has the usual rash and is so uncomfortable and upset about how it looks, but she also says that when she walks the balls of her feet feel bruised.  Has anyone else had these symptons?

Hi. i've been diagnose with PR & its turning 4 weeks. i currently take alovera vitamins & vitamin E 2x a day & i also use head & shoulder shampoo (clean & Dry) for my skin & its getting dry and the red getting darker but after i used head & shoulder/after shower my skin was very itchy and its getting much red again but later on its back to the usual texture & color which is dry and darker.

i just want to clarify, after shower with head & shoulder, it is normal that the skin will getting much red & itchy?

Hi so sorry to hear that. I got diagnosed a couple months ago and it was just awful. The way it looked, and it was like torture with the itching. I washed in t-gel shampoo and used Aveeno cream during the day but nothing at night as cream made me hot in bed and I itched more. I took multi vitamins and had about 5 cool showers a day. It all really helped quick and after 4 weeks it was gone. Hope that helps

HI,  It doesn't itch all over but she's only had it a few days.  Have been using cortizone cream on the odd patch that does itch.  Did you have itching all over from the beginning or did it start later on? The rash seems to come and go when it wants to. She has huge blotchy patches, especially on her legs.  Does the Aveeno cream work to lessen the rash or just with the itching?  Thanks

I didn't get anything on my legs and the rash was there 24/7. What has the doctor said it is?

I had itching start to finish all over. It was on my chest, tummy, my underarms and butt. I had the round herald patch on my chest which is a clear sign of it. The Aveeno cream helped but nothing stopped the itching apart from a cool shower and t-gel shampoo. I took anti histamine tabs and the cream from the doc but didn't work. I used e45 emollient bath oil too which soothed it. I can't eere commend t-gel enough it's dries the skin out but the Aveeno helps that, I got in the sun as much as I could too.

She is seeing a dermatologist on Thursday so we will know for sure.  Strange that her rash comes and goes, and not that itchy, all other symptoms seem to be the same.  Her skin is also quite hot to the touch.  I bought the Aveeno for the bath.  I will try and get her in the sun.  Not much here at the moment!
