Pityriasis rosea. I have it. I'm almost 66 and yes quite physically fit but but not 40!

It started with the 'herald' under my armpit and I don't even know when it started for sure. I saw my family Dr. in early April but he only offered bactroban which did nothing. Finally yesterday I nailed down what it is. Dr was no help. Hardly any itching but I'm scheduled for hip replacement surgery June 20 and sure don't want that delayed. I need reassurance. This is 6 weeks,

    Hang in there! I had mine when I was 34 and it lasted for 6 weeks, itched like hell and was hideous to look at. It did end up going away. I think it's just a matter of time with PR....

    Hello,

    I was also diagnosed with PR when I was 32, I don't think PR is age specific. I was unlucky and had PR for 9 months, you should see a dermatologist if you haven't already done so.

    Did the Prreze not work? You said you had the rash for a year! Did you have any lip involvement? My lips have also been swollen and extremely sensitive to everything including water making them burn and tingle
