pizotifen side effects

I have started taking pizotifen 3 days ago 0.5mgs at night to try and prevent migraine aura (no headache) which has been troublesome. I am interested to know if anyone else has noticed a drop in blood pressure and feeling distinctly light headed and dizzy and tired in the late morning/afternoon.

I still have trouble getting to sleep but feel very sleepy in the morning. It seems to me that this must be this medication but the drop in blood pressure isn't mentioned in the literature. Must say though no visual disturbances since starting. Should I take the tablet at teatime instead of bedtime?

Hi I had similar symptoms at first, alot of tiredness, and sleepiness during the first few weeks (a general zombie feeling). But its been 3 months now and I feel like my old self again, alert and energetic, i feel almost back to normal!

I would definitely consider taking the tablets earlier - I read this in another forum and it helped me enormously. @5/6pm means that I am able to function better when I am at work the following morning. Unfortunately, I am still having migraines so it looks like the medication has not worked for me. Hoping to come off them next week, but unsure of the withdrawal symptoms now! Fingers crossed that they work for you.
