PJ's job interview news

Well the sad news is I did NOT get the job yesterday. They are supposed to have been trying to get hold of me since yesterday afternoon. Funny how my phone only shows one phone call over the 2 days - and that was a friend yesterday evening wanting to know how I got on
.
The HR bod who lead my meeting this pm told me the news. I'm not at all disappointed as I've had a bit of a victory in another way.
From Monday I am to be put back on full pay!!!
I will actually be using up my hols that are left from the current year. But if after the 31 March I still haven't found a job then they will have to pay me full pay to be at home. This is only for 3 months then they will review the situation.
The was no apology of admittance that they got it wrong but their legal team have advised them what to do and this is a complete turn around from 3 weeks ago!!!
Feel like doing cartwheels around the room!!
They are also going to email every manager and ask if there are any jobs going such as short term/end of year help needed. The battle then will be to see if they'll still pay me the salary for my grade or whether they will expect me to take a drop. But I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
Thinking back over yesterday it's dawned on my that 'the old me' was back during the interview. My confidence was back and I was as cool as a cucumber - so I may not have got the job but it appears I have 'me' back and I know which I'd prefer to have.
Thanks for your support everyone.
Keep smiling (and taking the pills!!! :D )
Huge hugs to you all.

Hold on to these good thoughts PJ. Write down how you feel so you can refer back to it on the bad days.
You post was a welcome positive. xx

It obviously just wasn't the job for you - and means there's something better awaiting you.
I bet you are extremely proud of yourself - clam and confident - way to go :D

It's great news to hear that you have \"me\" back - don't worry too much at this point re the job, if your getting paid anyway use the time to strengthen yourself even more. Your on the up girl..... go for it!

I'm really not down at all about the job. As Breezman says it's the silver lining not the cloud.
I really did enjoy the interview, even more as I think about it, as I now know that I'm well enough to cope with stressful situations. I know there will be times when I get down but they are few and far between and I'll enjoy the highs even more.
I feel exhilarated at the thought that my employers have had to do a 'u' turn. Three weeks ago they insisted I had no job to go back to - that could have seriously effected my health, it didn't and I remained strong.
I now have to carry on with my plans to take them to an Employment Tribunal which I expect to be very stressful and not a comfortable journey at all.
Anyway the point of my post is this: hang in there you good people. There is light at the end of this dark hole. At times it feels as if it will never end and you will never have any relief from it. Just keep strong, focus on the good times no mattter how small they are. Keep taking the meds under doctors supervision. Cut out the other props, such as booze, that deep down you know aren't doing you any good.
And most of all keep posting here and in the chat room - especially the good times so that others know that their time will come too.
Have a great day everyone!!!
