Plantar fascitis

Has anyone else developed plantar fascitis due to fibromyalgia? I kept having foot pain and then noticed a nodule on the arch of my foot. My GP has given me a referral for a podiatrist but thinks it's plantar fascitis. From what I read it sometimes happens to people with fibro.

I had the cold and tingling in my feet. But now I also have a hard lump in the middle of the arch. About the size of a nickel. Painful if touched orI walk on it too much. It's on the tendon that runs from the heel to my big toe.

I've had fibro for so many years and a lot of the pain I get is from my feet and legs, my main pain on my feet is from my Achilles heel, which can sometimes not be touched because of pain, then my ankles can really swell up and I can hardly walk, don't know if that's similar xxxxx

Before I was diagnosed I had burning tingling pain after working a full shift at work. After I would drive home I would cringe just to walk from the car to my house. It hurt so bad. Then when I stopped working I would just have cold feet and tingling. Didn't really hurt bad just weird. Had more leg and back pain. After being diagnosed I started on magnesium and it helped with the restless leg syndrome. But this is new. To have a lump on my foot and a new pain as if I had walked miles when I may have just walked a block or two for excercise.

I have problems with my feet. I was told by my PC that I had plantar fasciitis but when I saw my podiatrist. He stated he didn't think I had plantar fasciitis because I have pain in my foot all day. He usually when first get off bed your feet hurt because fascia gets tight. My x-ray show that I have a bone spur right foot but I experienced the same symptoms in my left foot even it didn't show any problems. I have to wear shoes in the house. If I walk on the bare floor without shoes I want to scream. Both my heels are tender. I have elevate them off the bed. I hope this helps.

Yes. Thank you. Did they say it was from fibro or something else? Almost evrytime something new happens to me they just say it's to do with fibro.
I read about cortisone injections and wearing arches. Did you do this?
I've been sleeping with a pillow underneath but still want to scream with pain when I stand up. It also hurts when I do too much (which isn't much since I got diagnosed) Been having calf and hip pain too. Think my body is compensating for the foot pain and throwing the rest of that side out of alignment.

I was not given an explanation of what cause it. I was order night splints for both feet before seeing my podiatrist. It didn't help because the splints cause tingling and pain the entire time I wore them. I was ordered orthotic for my shoes. I was have so much tingling and pain in my feet my podiatrist said he want to refer me to a neurologist but never did. When I was started in gabapentin it helped with the tingling in my feet but I still have the pain. Orthotic help but I still have tingling while wear my shoes. Help I answered you question.

Yes, this was one of the first things I developed way before my diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. Flat shoes made it much, much worse so I'd recommend comfy shoes with just a little heel.
Mine disappeared eventually without any intervention. :-)

Thank you all. I had the nerve pain and tingling for so long with fibro that at first I didn't even realize that I had this lump forming. Just felt more pain. Just thought it was getting worse.
Bought new sneakers with a supportive arch. Hope these help until I can get in to see the podiatrist. But it sounds like what you all are saying that they can't do much. Appreciate the advice.
