Chin up Andy!  It will get better.  Plantars Fasciitis is probably from a different way you are walking.  There are really good stretching exercises on You Tube that you can do that will help greatly.  Of course, you should check with your doctor first. I have had surgery for it in both feet and if there is anyway you can avoid that, I would try hard. Do you have custom orthotics for your shoes?  They help a lot.

hi jenny, thanks for your reply, because i have had big toe fusion on this foot and it is taking longer than normal for it to fuse they have told me not to do any streching on it just yet until my next x ray in about 7 weeks shows that union of the toe is complete, so i am in a no win situation at the moment ,while i'm waiting the plantar is just going to get worse if thats possible as it is allready very painful, they told me it will sort itself out when i start walking regular, but i think they are just fobbing me off , also because of the chill blains in my toes my foot keeps going hot and redusually in the afternoons and it swells so it is almost unbearable to walk on when this happens, to make things worse my left foot plantar has also started getting bad, this is like my worst nightmare and i feel totally helpless, i am walking in the house as much as i can in the mornings to hopefullly improve the plantar problem but it doesn't seem to be working just yet, maybe i need to walk more ?

also , about the custom orthotics, i am currently on sick pay only £87.00 pw and only just making ends meet along with my wifes part time wage , so i cannot afford the orthotics at the moment.

No.. . more walking is not recommended.  In fact they say to rest it as much as you can...but also do the stretching excercises. You have to stretch out that Plantar ligament to relieve the pain. Easier said than done, but medically it makes sense. Check out Paul Chek  ( I think that's his name) on utube....he seems to know his stuff and something might work for u. one thing is for sure from everything that I've read and seen

and that is that everyone's recovery and intensity of pain is different.

I pulled out my cheap knock off crocs when I saw your posting and I have to say it does force the pressure onto different pressure points...not on the center of the heel and it helps the walking alittle. Now I can get to the kitchen and the bathroom in much less pain. Just take it slow.  Thanks for that tip. Gonna try to go to that store here in Texas called Ideal Feet maybe today as they specialize in PF insoles etc.....

Geeez, I feel so bad for you. And for me too. Not much works for most people it seems. Just thought I would let you know you are not alone. It's just not fair is it. I just pray over God that He lifts this from me so I can have some quality of life again. I pray for all of us. I had never even heard of this curse until I got it and soooo many people get it that it's almost common. I wonder why no one really talks about it? I want to SCREAM about it! About how awful it is. Usually I end up just crying about it. Pray for me bc I am praying for you.

I will pray for you, i pray about 20 times a day asking god to take this pain away but i wake up every morning  and it's still there, i can't live with this for rest of my life, it feels like my life is over.

It does feel that way. But i know I gotta have faith. You do too Andy100200. What good is our prayer if we have no faith in Him that He will take this away? The hard part is....we don't know when He will fix it. It will be when he wants to in His time, not in our time. I just have have trouble understanding what purpose it serves for Him to let me suffer like this. If I didn't have an amazing family and a man who makes good money... where would I be like this??? Keep the faith my dear...and accept my virtual hug....you are not alone. This too shall pass one day soon, I just know it.

thankyou, i will try to remain positive and believe in your faith , i have just got back from visiting my podiatrist and they told me the pain i have been getting in my big toe recently is due to the screws and plate that they put in , and i now need an op to take them out ,because they are irritating my toe , so that is been done in august, so i will have to try and remain extra positive now, but it is a bit of a blow,, we don't have much money coming in as i am on sick pay and my wife is part time so we are struggling in that respect, but anyway, iv'e just got to battle on
