Plaque

Hi, I plaque or scar tissue on my penis (beneath the corona of the glans) that gets really hard and makes it painful when I am erect. My doctor said that it was caused by reoccurring balanitis from a while a go and gave me some cream (Benovate Cream?) I'm not sure if this was for the balanitis or the scar tissue.
He saw me again a month later and there was a small improvement and he told me that I should be happy with it and that it would continue to go down. It is about 8 months later and I don't think it has improved.
Is it worth going back to the doctors as he told me that circumcision wouldn't be worth it, or has anyone got any way to improve it or anything? I really hate my penis at this stage.
I may not have used the best image, but the bump is only visible when my foreskin is over my glans and it feels hard and tense.

The bump is visible on the pic on the right hand side just below the vein below the corona.

Hey buddy sorry for the problem.
A circumcision is a last resort. The cream he gave you is for a allergic condition. If you had balanitis he should have told you to get a fungal cream.
I have to look at one of my other men that I was talking to the doctor gave him something to soften the scar that he had. When I find it I will let you know.
Don't give up hope.....Ken

Thank you! I am really upset by this.
Could you suggest a fungal cream, I've was never told about such a thing.
Also, I am confused, what do you mean 'an allergic condition', what am I allergic to?

Hey buddy
I do not know why he gave you that cream. When I looked it up it is for a skin rash not for a scare. For the Balanitis you need a fungal cream. They do make them just for Balanitis there more money. Anything for jock itch will work. This is a fungal cream.
I also got the name of the cream that the doctor gave the other guy for his scare. It is call Contraclubex. It will help soften the scare and help it be less visible. It works from the inside out
I hope this helps you...Take care...Ken

Could you explain what Mondor's disease is because I can not understand any of the terminology online.

Inflammation of veins. Looks like a narrow cord under the skin.
It is a very rare condition that may heal with time.
But I feel that you should see a Urologist and get a US. (Ultrasound).

Thank you, but I don't think this is the case from what I have seen and read about this.
Was there something on the picture that made you think this? or just the description?
