Plasma injections

hey guys, I saw a new dr today who has been trialling treating LS with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP).

I haven't heard of it before but she has had a lot of success with it. Has anyone here had it?

    I got very excited hearing about this new treatment last year and I rang a doctor in London who does it. I presumed it was a one off treatment but for many people they need up to 3 shots and it tends to last around a year or so. With each shot costing around £1000 and you having to repeat it, I lost interest. But I am still very interested in hearing about people who have had it one and their experience!

      yeah she said it was 3 treatments but havent heard about it lasting one year. in Australia its $310 a treatment as its not covered be medicare.

    Is this the same as what they call the O-Shot? There are video ads online. Assumed it was very pricey. Think there was a UK ad and one in US.

    With an autoimmune disease I assume there are no cures; only treatments.
