I'm wondering if anyone can help me, I'm new to all this but it's worth a try.
I'm 25 years old and I was diagnosed with pcos in 2013 by ultrasound as I was having problems with my periods.
I was bleeding most of the time. They put me on different pills that never seemed to work so I stop taking them all together and just got on with life. A couple of years after being diagnosed my periods seem to go back to normal which was great but the start of 2016 I was bleeding for around 2months at a time again. Me and my partner of 5 years decided just before Christmas we wanted to start a family so I went back to the doctors to see what we could do because it's pretty hard trying for a baby when your always bleeding. I had to be assessed again for pcos because it was 2013 my last one so I had that done about a week ago. Results came back and were still no different. Had a conversation with the doctors he wants to put me on the pill which isn't an option for me as we're trying for a baby. The doctors asked me a question what was more important sorting my period out or a baby. I told him having a baby was more important. He then said there was nothing more to do then ended conversation. I need help as I'm confused and don't know what to do. Xx

Well he sounds like a bit of an idiot I always read stories of women who told their gyno that they wanted to have a baby they got given metformin and boom a month later they got pregnant!
speak to your doctor and tell him you want to try metformin and if it doesn't work after 6 months (which it more likely will) then you will give birth control a go
Annoys me more than anything when doctors try and dictate what you want when there is a proven solution out there, if all else fails i suggest you change doctors x

I also have been told that when you are trying for a baby with any hormone condition you should only eat organic meat and dairy as factory animals are pumped with synthetic hormones which are harmful to our cycles. Increase the good fats like nuts, olives, oil, butter etc and cut down on refined and alcohol Good luck, I hope you get your little sprog
