I would call 111 if you are that desperate and speak to a GP out of hours. They may give you an emergency dose untill you can discuss the situation with your doctor. Good luck. Ashton plan comes recommended

      Very good idea Mark,

I know how he must be feeling i've been in that situation myself and it's a very scary and lonely place to be.

Do as Mark suggested Paul call your local emergency number and explain to them your situation i am positive they will help you let us know how you get on

    Hi paul,

Has anyone offered you an alternative medication to help you sleep? Seroquel, Elavil, Trazodone Doxepine and Lyrica(pregabalin) are all options. You can also probably find the supplement melatonin at a vitamin store. If insomnia is a big issue for maybe ask your Gp for a referral to a sleep clinic.

You have my sypmathy. I attend the main hospital and local health centre and have come up against a brick wall with zopiclone. You need to come off them gradually and doctors are not very good with this. I cannot suggest such a move but there are reliable suppliers out there. Just check content of web site and contact if necessary. I have not been done yet. I am now taking matters into my own hands getting control and reducing but at my pace. Am not allowed to put names in these message so you wil have to look very carefully.

Avoid iNDIA and there are some uk'ish sites that are good.

I've been on mirtazapine 45mg since about june time and its working for me.i'm also on pregabalin 150mg twice a day,so i take one in the morning and one in the evening with my mirtazapine.I was on zopiclone for 13 years and never ever thought i'd be able to manage without them.See your gp for mirtazapine, low doses didnt tough me but 45 mg does the trick.

thank you for your forthrightness. It can be difficult when people do not understand what other people are going through. I have chronic leukaemia and my wife suffers from fits. I do not have time for nonsense from doctors and need to get myself over this hurdle. You must understand that zopiclone was a wonder drug in 2008 but something has happened. It probably will all get sorted eventually. I am allowed one 7.5 per day by my doctor

Hi paul did your doctor lower the dose gradually or just stop your zopiclone?  if your doctor just stopped go back to your doctor and ask to put back on them and to gradually  lower the dose as some doctors havent a clue, and ask them what julie mention the ashton plan as ive heard diazapam is good to get off zops and if they refuse to help you change your doctor or find a reliable source. good luck
