Hey all, I'll get right into it. I had a random hook up last week and noticed a raw spot on the underside of my shaft a couple days later. I'm not sure if it's from rough sex or if it could be herpes. Take a look and tell me what you think. If you believe it is herpes, should I get it swabbed now or wait a few months for a blood test? Thanks!

I should add that I have no other symptoms associated with herpes besides this questionable spot. And the woman remains adamant that she is clean, if that means anything.

Ouch, that looks sore! Hard to say what that is. Looks like a bit of missing skin? To be safe, get it swabbed asap before it starts to heal. When a lesion is present, the swab test for herpes is always preferable to the IgG antibody blood test, as it is a direct test and location-specific.

Thank you for the reply! Like I said it was pretty rough sex so I'm not sure and it doesn't appear to look like other pictures of herpes that I've been seeing. I guess getting it swabbed is the only way to be sure huh? Thanks again!

Figured I would update this for anyone who was curious. The Doc says that its just friction burn that became infected due to all the fluids, nothing to worry about, just need to let it heal. Suiting up from now on! Thanks guys!

Well, it does look like a chunk of missing skin. Lol, that's some crazy friction burn! But yeah, suit up...and consider using lube!
