I went to er last week because I felt dizzy for a few days. Doctor talked to me asked me my symptoms and checked me. Said the dizziness was coming from an ear infection. I told her I suffer from tachycardia and she listened to my heart and said everything sounded good and ordered an EKG for me to make me feel better. Everything came back normal in the EKG they said it was perfect gave me meds for my ear and stomach btw I have ibs and sent me on my way. For the last week my heart seems to race I have suffered a few panic attacks and my husband assures me that I'm ok. However I keep thinking something wrong with my heart. I haven't moved like normal i haven't gone outside I haven't cleaned or cooked my husband has been helping with all that. I have an appointment with cardiologist on Thursday and I'm so scared something is wrong. Has anyone suffered any of these symptoms I even keep checking my pulse and my heart rate is in 90 even when I sitting around. However I am on edge all the time. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you

Hi Sorry to hear this. I would keep a diary for the next few days and then show it to your cardiologist. Write down what activity you were doing when your heart was racing. I am sure you are going to be alright. BTW have u seen the cardiologist previously?

Hope ypu don't mind my asking?

Hi Harriet. I saw cardiologist last year. I had a tachycardia they diagnosed with a nuclear re entry tachycardia. I had ekgs done and I had a echo cardiogram done. My echo came back perfect everything was in normal range. And just had EKG last week when I went to hospital. When I first went in my blood pressure was 147/82 in ambulance when I got to hospital it was 129/82 which doctor said was in normal range. When they did my EKG doc said every thing was perfect and my heart rate at that point after laying for two hrs and nerves calming down. I have an appointment with cardio on Thursday and pm doc tomorrow hoping for good news. I have been through alot this year and my stress has been through the roof. Praying it's only anxiety

Hi Michele. The dizziness came from an inner ear infection. My fast heart rate began a few days later with extreme anxiety attacks. Ever since my heart rate has been fast in low 90s just sitting on the coach. I went to hospital last week and my blood pressure was 129/82 they said that was normal and i also asked for EKG when they gave it to me I was at 60 bpm resting lying down for about an HR before the test. My sister thinks it could either be anxiety or possible thyroid. Going to ask for blood work tomorrow at docs. Praying it's just anxiety and nothing more but the worry is making me more anxious. Thanks for listening.
