Please help!

Im 16 and im not sure if I have lichen sclerosus, I have bumps on my inner labia I’ve seen pictures and they look exactly the same ! I’m freaking out because I don’t know how it would affect me !

    I had what I thought was a bad flare-up of LS a couple of months ago, but I went to my doctor when bumps appeared because that has never really been a symptom of LS for me and I suspected this was something else.  As it turned out, it was a severe yeast infection.  She gave me a three-dose regimen of Diflucan (yeast infection medication that you take in pill form).  It took all three doses to eliminate the itch and then it took a little extra time for the bumps to go away completely.

    Rather than go to your pediatrician, I recommend that you see a gynecologist.  At 16, you are of an age where you should really be seeing a specialist for gynecologic issues anyway, especially if and when you become sexually active.
