this is not, a miracle cure but. TRY magnesium vit D and vit B12 plus a biohack product called Protandim. All natural.

Acupuncture worked a couple of years. Avoid triggers cold, hot, sour, bitter, mint and direct wind. Brush teeth with baking soda. I take Gabapentin when in pain and slowly get off when in remission. Had MVD twice worked second time so far 1 yr. 3 months. Praying that I continue to stay pain free.

I rarely comment on here, but when I read your post I remembered how I felt 20 years ago after being diagnosed with TN. Stay as busy as possible or discouragement will set in. Keep track of your pain and what you were doing right beforehand, that way you can avoid those things. The only real breakthrough Ive ever had is the medication, Lyrica. I took gabapentin for years and when I started the lyrica it was like a miracle.

Lisa, first of all, I am sorry. I have been fighting TN for the last 18 months....it is awful. After a year of misdiagnosis, 7 root canals, two pulled teeth and two bone grafts multiple Doctors...I got the diagnosis from a jaw pain specialist.

He sent me to a neurologist. Of course as you may have learned, this is a rare auto immune disease and it is nerve pain, which is VERY DIFFICULT TO TREAT. I am currently on Lyrica and Cymbalta, some heavy duty nerve drugs.

In addition, I went on a very clean diet, vegan and many vitamins at the recommendation of my acupuncturist.

You might want to pick up the book the Medical Median...you may not believe in this type of thing, but it is fascinating! And by the way, one of the only books I have read, that nails TN!

    Best of luck.....
