Please help!

I have had redness/some swelling and lots of burning of the vulva and surrounding glands for 6 weeks. I originally took a home health test which showed ph was off (bacterial infection, not fungal) went to the doc, she didnt examine me and said BV. took the antibiotics, got some relief, still some discomfort and burning so I took Flagyl for yeast. got better for a few days... 2 weeks later, still red (not as severe) and swelling and discomfort/burning (did not hurt to touch directly, but a few minutes after touching would be very uncomfortable). went back to doc, she examined and said everything looked pretty normal, checked to make sure there was no more BV or yeast (also checked and no trich... I was not concerned about that). gave me a steroid cream.... used for a week and now I am still red/swollen (for me, she thought it seemed fine but I know my vag better than her!) discomfort is mostly gone, but every once in awhile shows up.... any ideas?????
