Please Help 4 weeks clean from codeine, 8 days clean from sub

I took my last 0.5 of sub 8 days ago. All physical symptoms gone apart from gastro symptoms - cant eat as I feel so sick and anything I do consume goes straight through me. So weak I keep nearly fainting.
Biggest problem is the depression. Had it for 20 years but I havent been this depressd since a teen. I am at breaking point.
Is this just a stage - will it get better or is it just my depression back now I have stoppedmedicating myself with opiates??
I know I need to get out of the house - I want to go to the local horse stables or zoo as I love animals but how can I get there if I am so weak and cant stop crying.
Any suggestions or advice really appreciated

First things first - have you got something for that stomach? My Doctor gave me some Loperamide and it was pretty effective, you can buy it over the counter in the chemist. Get something quick - you are seriously fatigued and under nourished now which will be impacting your mental well being a lot.
I think it is both a stage and an ongoing thing. At the current time you are seriously fatigued and will have struggled to take in vital vitamins and minerals, this is is probably your main issue right now - probably worth asking your local chemist what vitamins/minerals/salts are good to top up on. I had quite big problems with this as I was on heavy anti inflammatories for about 6 months and have been on a rollercoaster of issues that is steadily fixing - Fatigue and depression have featured quite a lot.
I think it's an ongoing thing as removing Opiates from your life, even if you are only ever physically dependent, is like turning off the colour, removing the warm cozy blanket and staring reality in the face. I also think these feelings are worse on the back of illness/injury/accident as you are waking up to a life that has some known issues and unpleasantness. I don't know an easy answer to this one and am still fighting with it, post surgery/accident depression/PTSD is very common - I've been focussing on doing as much physical activity as possible, eating healthy etc. .... but I may contact the free Talking Therapees soon, I've been told they are really good with PTSD, maybe!
If you can get some energy back and get out and see the animals I'm sure things will rapidly turn around (don't know what I would have done without our lovely old cat!).

I know you have not posted for a couple of months, but I am wondering how you are doing? Are your symptoms better? I decided to taper off my prescription of oxy - went from 90mg to 40mg over a few months. I feel pretty anxious but I am not addicted and I have the support of my doctor so I think I can taper down to a very low dose before jumping off. Did you taper? Is .5 sub a high dose? Thanks for any info and I hope you are well.

To give you some idea 1mg sub = 8mg morphine
If you look at the other posts on this forum you will see a more recent account of my journey when I had come out of a private rehab.
Things have now changed again. I struggle with my mental health and I became very depressed even though I was totally clean.
I ended up having a bit of a slip so I am now under my local drug centre who I must say have been amazing. I was on 30mg of diazepam and 1200 codeine and 800 tramadol for around 5 years.
I am now on 18mg diazepam which is being cut by 2mg every 2 weeks which is a sensible rate as benzos are incredibly hard to get off and can take months even years to get back to normal. I am also on 4mg of sub which I will also come down slowly on. The plan is that when I get low on both I will be taken in as an impatient for 4 weeks to get off completely. They have also given me the option of a further 3 months elsewhere if I need it.
I'm happy to share my journey with you - ask anything you like - the support I have got from this forum has been amazing.
I definitely would suggest engaging with your local drug centre - they are the experts and my experience of them has been so positive.
Hope you're still doing well
Sue
