I have read aboit nocturnal seizures and have convinced myself it could be this as my anxiety dowsnt seem noticable at all some days so i cant understand why it would be waking me. Can any1 tell me how i would no if it was a seizure? Xxx

Yesterday, I observed an absence seizure in a friend of mine.  He is a long time user of fluoxetine, and has had mild shakes for a while.  Last night, he had 1 shot of rum and 2 drags if weed over ~2hrs and then hung out for another hour.  As he was getting ready to leave for the evening, seemingly sober, he got dizzy and sat down.  His mouth started to move strangely and he got the shakes.  Then he started to sweat, slumped forward and seemed to stop breathing.  We shouted at him to breathe and sat him upright, and he responded verbally ~10secs later, but then slumped again.  He did this maybe six times over 10 minutes, each time preshadowed by yawning and faux swallowing.   I have seen about 3 of these episodes in him over the past two years, but I see him less than once a month.  He is approaching 60, and has taken anti-depressants for over 20 years.  I think he drinks more frequently than he should, but his weed consumption is scant.  Meanwhile, he takes an anti-depressant every day.
