Please help

I am 52 year old male . For the last 5 weeks I have been regurgitating small pieces of food that come to my throat . This is persistent . I also have a great deal of phlegm and am constAntly clearing my throat . I also have a low level pain in my diaphragm area .

My doctor has given me one month PPi which I have now finished and do not seem to have worked . I don’t have any acid taste coming up .

Any advice would be much appreciated as I’m very anxious .

Thank you ,Darren

Sounds like your oesaphagus is not closing when eating causing regurgitation . You will need an endoscopy to find out what's going on. If you haven't have one their fairly routine. Ask your GP to refer you to a consultant to arrange an appointment.
