Been sick for months both pre and post op. Has been 9 weeks since surgery and still vomiting and nausea daily. Weird metallic taste in mouth and burning stomach and sided. I am still having gallbladder site pain and the bile diarreah. Does anyone recover from this or is this my life now?

    hi there

i would suggest u go to your dr and ask to be put on questran powders, this binds the bile so helps with these symptoms, your stomach is not used to having bile constantly dripping into it and therefore sicknes etc. Of course do get a dr's advice that nothing else is wrong, also due to the extra bile eat bland food little and often, porridge with banana, yogurt, rice etc which also helps.

    good luck!

Thank you. I will try that, I have an endo tomorrow with my GI who thinks I have Bile Reflux which scares me as it is chronic. Not sure what to think.

the main thing is to be positive, this will all settle down, being anxious makes any gastric issue worse. start doing yoga, go for reflexology or reiki which help enormously.

Thank you. I am having a hard time staying positive right now as I feel I can't take care of my family or work right now. I have an accupunture appoinment soon so I am hoping that helps.

excellent, that is great news, explore both traditional and alternative medicine, stay positive, this will get better, really get the questran powders and keep going.😊

i had terrible gastritis and gerd for years due to extreme stress, I drank a lot of coffee and skipped meals.

after several endoscopys I had a hiatus hernia repair and nissen fundiplication, then discovered my gallbladder was not functioning so this June had it out. Since the surgery I have had a lot of issues, hence have first hand experience, I still cannot eat what I want the powder has helped.

keep a food diary as well, maybe take a good probiotic. Other than one gp none of the others have been interested, don't be fobbed off.

      good luck!

So I had my endo this morning. I have Bile Reflux gastritis but the doctor did not seem concerned said for most it clears up in 6 months or so. He doesn't think it is the cause of my nausea and vomiting though which I find odd.
