I too was a very active person before this. played football every week, went for 6 mile runs, with a half marathon, long distance bike rides and did at least 20k steps per day, then bam....I'm now like a couch potato. Can't do anything apart from small walks. Now doing roughly 5k steps per day, but can't do anything active. Then again, have been told by the doctor to take it easy, but don't think I could do anything. I rememb

      Hey Dodge,

Oh you will get back to your exercise again, truly you will it took me a while to get there but was able to with some time. It takes a while just to get your confidence in pushing your body again and for it to reach the stage to be ready for that, but it will come Dodge.

And don't underestimate what an achievement it is to do 5k walking each day, probably because you have been so super-fit and active before you under play how much of an achievement that is especially when going through what you have been through - you're definitely no couch potato that is for sure, and even when you do rest (which is important) there is a valuable and much needed reason for it, this virus really wipes you out and it's not just a case of you not doing anything for nothing, your body is going through a tough time right now and needs recovery, but it will get there and you will get through this and back to being fully active again I truly believe that still!!

Hoping you are feeling a bit more settled than a few weeks ago and remember just take it each day as it comes, it's all any of us can do!

Your walking is a massive achievement Lori, remember that, and just be careful if you try more strenuous exercise, I know it's frustrating and so hard to know when the right time to do that is - but with some of the hard days and spells you've had right now, might be wise just to hold off until your body is a little stronger again - hoping and praying 2019 can be the year and time for that.

As you say Lori just take it a day at a time and God will get you to a stable place again - believe me Lori your body resilience will return, I remember at a similar stage / timescale into the virus as you feeling I was so far off ever being able to do exercise of more strenuous activity again, but it does come back to you and big steps forward can happen in a short space of time with this, even after loooooong periods of seemingly not much improving or changing - so hang in there and remember there is hope and that you WILL get there with this.
