Please help

I'm 52, 6 years post menopause. I've been having some urinary issues and pelvic discomfort. My GP organised an ultrasound and I was told I had a large Fibroid. I paid privately to see a gynaecologist and he has told me that he I wouldn't have a fibroid this size (8cm x8cm) after menopause and he thinks it's a cancer so I need a hysterectomy. Has anyone out there had a large fibroid after menopause? Please help.

I have not went through menopause, but I believe I am starting to. I am 43. I recently got insurance in January I looked at the patient portal online and was looking at test they had done two years ago during a hospital stay for kidney infection. they did a CT scan of pelvic and abdomen. it said that I had multiple uterine fibroids and ovarian cyst. they never mentioned this to me. I didn't have a primary doctor at the time but I do now since Feb. I am seeing him tomorrow to discuss this. I am a little worried. I have had pain and discomfort and I thought I was bloated. I use to weigh 120 in 2015. I now weigh 150. I don't know if that is related. I don't know how to help you, but I do hope you have positive results.
