ok where do i start.. 4 years ago i had banding done and removal of a large skin tag. the banding was horrific and unsuccessful. move forward to now i have finally built up the courage to see another surgeon to get something done about them. over the christmas break i was that severe i couldnt sit normally for 2 weeks and i suffer so bad still now. i apologise for the pic but i dont know if these are bad or not. they are for me i spent hours crying. im not constipated and dont sit on the toilet for long either. now for the last 8 days i have been bleeding. i just sit on the toilet and they bleed, i pass wind and they bleed. they are sore and painful and no creams help at all. i see the surgeon in 6 days and counting down. i just hope i dont have a long wait to get rid of these horrible things

Hello so sorry you are suffering so badly .I have had the same as you for 2 years unfortunately can't have anything done as am on blood thinners. When they flare up I have lots of baths and soak for 10 mins. Never use toilet paper only baby wipes .Drink loads of water to. I've tried lots of creams but did no good.If I get stressed they seem to flare up to.I know they make me feel very depressed . Just thought I'd say you are not alone. April x

thanks april, i am sorry to hear your going through this too. i do stitz baths everyday, wet wipes when i go to the loo. they have me so depressed that i cant even be intimate with my husband because they are so sore. im so bloody scared to see the doctor on thursday after what i went through last time and knowing how painful getting them fixed is. id gladly give birth to my 10lb babies again rather than deal with this

That does look quite painful. Mine aren't so bad but I find it really helps to clean only with wet wipes or a shower/bath whenever possible as anything dry like TP just makes it much worse

hello.. you might want to consider having a hemorrhoidectomy. mine were also prolapsed and kept bleeding just like you have described. unfortunately at that stage a surgery is the only option to get a permanent relief. its such a great feeling now to be able to go to toilet with nothing hanging out of my bum. best of luck with your appointment.

Sorry your going through this. they're really horrid specially when they flare up. ive been suffering from hemorrhoids, fissure, hematomas the whole works for over 10 years now (post pregnancies) fast forward to tomorrow where itll be 2 weeks since i had 2nd surgery (hemorrhoidectomy) to " clean" me up /remove the darn things... hang in there, keep your bowels soft (take laxatives if needed just be mindful which you need to take as they’re 3 types which work in different ways) up your water, control/ add Fiber ...add creams to the area just to eases of the pain for now (i use sodacream before i have a bm and after if needed but when it gets bad i used germoloids ointment which worked somewhat) you probably know the drill for this!!! good luck for this Thursday appointment. keep us posted if you want x

ok so im getting the haemorroidectomy. he went through all the options and because they are grade 4 he said the other options probably wont work. so now the waiting game as im a public patient. its to be done within 3 months but his popped me on 2 different hospital lists to get me in faster and his hoping 6 weeks.

Hi! I just found this support group and have been going through all the posts to find someone with a similar story... and this is it. Please, please give an update: what happened?? Are you ok now? Did you get the surgery ?
My hemorrhoids look so much like the ones on the pic...
I had 4 banding experiences, last one was 2 days ago. First three were fine (ish), but last one was excruciating and I've been in the worst pain since. Doc told me to come back in 2 weeks, said if it's not improved by then, I'll need surgery and I'm beyond scared of surgery, considering the pain I'm in now and knowing it'll be 10x worse for WEEKS, even months after... I don't know if I'll be able to handle it and seeing all those horror stories, I might just have to deal with what I have now. I would also rather give birth to 100 more 10lb babies than live like this...
