I have been sick since October 2019. Doctors are unsure what is going on with me and have been of little help to me lately. They have mentioned possible IBS and fibromyalgia starting at the same time. I am hoping I can get some advice and see if anyone else can relate here.
This all started with occasional mid to upper back pain and diarrhea a few times a week. A couple weeks later I felt like I couldn’t eat anything at all. I was getting full really easy and was also nauseous and really gassy. During this time I was also having some upper abdominal pain and what felt like an electric type pain in my back and some prickly type feelings in my upper abdomen. Over the period of about a month I was able to slowly start eating more again, but I also started to develop weird pain in my upper arms and legs that would come and go. It felt like I had been punched but the strange part is if I touched these areas I couldn’t feel or re create the pain. I also was having extreme fatigue and night sweats during this time. The night sweats only lasted a few weeks and have since gone. Once I was able to eat again I was also using the bathroom way more than normal (3-4 times a day) and typically right after eating anything. My stools were also typically loose all time. I have been struggling to keep on weight because of this.
After extensive testing all that was found was mild gastritis and a small amount of sludge in my gallbladder. I had my gallbladder removed per my doctors recommendation however it made no difference.
At the beginning of February I started getting a twitch on my eyelid that later spread to the rest of my body. The twitching typically stays in my feet and legs but sometimes happens in my arms, torso, back. I also tried to get back to working out around this time and noticed I had developed an intolerance to exercise. Every time I exercise or have a physically exhausting day I feel like I am coming down with the flu and all of my symptoms worsen for at least a few days if not longer.
I am still currently dealing with all of this and doctors are at a loss. Most doctors are now telling me it’s either fibromyalgia and Ibs, chronic fatigue and ibs, or stress and anxiety causing everything. Can anyone here relate to these symptoms or have any idea what this might be?
