please help clear up confusion on hsv-1 herpes testing

Hi , I don't really wanna list all the issues I am having, most would just cloud the info I am needing .

I had sex with someone and oral and then developed some issues , she had a past of oral herpes but nothing recent . I also have a history (child) of coldsores on mouth

I wanted to rule herpes out as potential cause .

I have balanitis but after the sex I used harsh chemicals which I am sure is the main cause and killed my natural balance of bacteria etc . I also had a painful blue bit inside my urethra, but looked vein related and other posts on here who seen a urologist about this have been told it was vein related too

. I also have red meatus inflamed, and existing prostate issues, and some burning inside . had multiple STI tests all negative

so for the herpes , I had a blood test for herpes 1 and 2 igg antibodies. both came back negative. the test was about 11 months after this all started

weird thing is why didn't my mouth cold sores show up on test that I had as a kid. is the test unreliable ? Is there more accurate testing? the painful blue bit is gone. all other symptoms still there so how can I detect this ?

I have never had weeping , crusting cold sore type sores anywhere down there .

please can some people who know a lot more about herpes and ruling it out, give me some info - at what point can I say this is not hsv . thank you for your help

According to Terri Warren igG misses 30% of hsv-1 and 8%of hsv-2, the more accurate test is the western blot which is the gold standard in herpes testing however it costs more money

You childhood "coldsores" may not have been related to HSV and could have been aphthous ulcers or canker sores all along.
