Please help! Does this look like herpes? (Pictures included)

I have a doctors appointment with a different doctor in a few days because im not sure i believe what they 1st one said.

Do you think this is herpes?

We had a few very hot days in December so I assumed it was heat rash, didnt go away, went to a random doctor who did a swab and said nope not herpes, gave me antibiotic for a bacterial infection and it cleared up very quickly.

Since then i had maybe 1 sore here and there but assumed heat rash, ingrown or just a little pimple.

Start of Feb i got many little red marks/spots, went to my orginial doctor who took one look and said it was herpes, but wouldnt do a swab? Gave me famciclovir which did not help after taking 2x of a 5 day period. This cleared within a week or two, also had very bad thrush so hard to tell how long it lasted.

Then basicly 1 or 2 days after i got sores again and have had them for 2 weeks sad They dont hurt, itch or anything i dont notice them but i would obviuously like to know.

Both December and Febuary sores are similar. Mine dont look anything like what i have found on google for herpes.

** Also previous partner gets cold sores and was tested years ago for herpes HSV2 (negative) and has had no new partners except me.. I have also been tested years ago for HSv 1 & 2 (negative) with no new partner.

Please help!!

Looks like simple folliculitis or similar rather than herpes.

You can insist on a swab test for herpes to be sure, but I used to get bumps like that from shaving or waxing my bikini line or on my butt from sitting on a non-breathable surface in humid weather (tmi, lol), and that was long before I contracted herpes.

Wish there was a way you could swab yourself haha by the time tomorrow comes round ill bet i have none to swab.

Not tmi at all haha, I hate not knowing. I never used to get spots or anything that I know of but maybe it's just because im constantly looking down there now.

Hi! I just joined this site and came across your post and thought i would reply. I honestly not believe your bumps are bumps from the herpes virus. I am no doctor or anything like that, but i am a woman. I believe what you have is bumps from shaving, i get them just like that, even Nair and the other hair removing creams as well as waxing can cause them as well. Try not to worry too much i think you will get good news. Praying, Tammy

Hope you are fine, but the only way to know for sure is to get tested and have a doctor tell you the results.

    Best regards ♡

Sucks that the tests aren't that reliable. Turned out that it wasn't herpes but who knows, still a possibility. Thanks for the reply smile

Doesn't look like herpes to me. The way to know, herpes outbreaks only occur on one side at a time (think like you only get a coldosore on either the left or right of your lip) if this rash is scattered all over it's unlikely to be herpes. Also, herpes sores at their worst are oozing blisters that scab over, at their best they're just a tender patch of skin. It doesn't look like a rash (not in my case anyway or many others)
