Hi, I posted a couple of weeks ago regarding some pink discharge I had a couple of times, I am 5 years post menopause and struggling to be able to deal with this. I suffer with health anxiety and am currently seeing a CBT therapist. I am terrified to see my GP about this and have already cancelled one appointment..has anyone else struggled like this...I need some support.

Thank you I have had tests ultrasound and Mri,and ok just have brown spotting but am on norethesterone for heavy flooding periods. transvaginal scan and Mri diagnosed deep endometriosis and a small clot in uterus which is why hysteroscopy advised but I tried once and too painful and cancelled next as scared to death of a GA.

yes. Here we are into yet another day. Some days are better than others. I am so tired of this anxiety, it freezes me and everything is an effort as is doing nothing. I dont answer my smart phone from friends as I dont want to go out. Everytime it rings, I think it is my Dr calling with results or telling me to come in please...I get weak and shaky and my heart pounds. Ugh. Other times I feel more confident. But, it is still much better than not taking care of it, and then being sorry you cant turn the clock back. Wishing you all a good day, somehow or another.

I know I have had 3 transvaginal scans ,and 1 Mri ,a cystoscopy and just a hysteroscopy to go,I did try awake but it was too painful I suppose cos I have endometriosis so a GA was Suggested but I freaked out and I was going to Have mirena fitted at same time but I had a huge panic and couldn't go.gyn told me he thought I had nothin to worry about but the mri saw a small blood clot in it word lining and wanted to check on it.i will find the strength but this year I have had enough of tests and scans I know I'm peri which can cause sporting and I'm on norethesterone which also can cause spotting so who knows lol xx

I can so relate to the health anxiety. I am so sorry you are going through this but you have to get your self checked out. Just know that you are strong and can get through whatever comes your way.

Yes me. I started bleeding a few weeks ago. Three years after last period. I suffer from extreme anxiety and it drove me over the edge. Am on anti anxiety meds. GP said it is very common. Very common. Had an internal and she said everything felt fine but to be on safe side I am having endometrial biopsy next week and a pelvic ultrasound. Not sure she. She said t looked red and irritated and I did have a yeast infection b4 the bleeding so I'm praying that is all. It has now stopped. Your mind will be put at ease when u see your GP and this group is wonderful ! Higs

Sorry to learn you're going through this.  You're not alone. Everyone has had to struggle with their fear in order to find out what's happening.  The body is a wonderful thing, and sends you messages when things aren't as they should be.

Your doctor is the only person who can assist you with the medical issues.  Most things can be cured if you bring issues to your doctor soon enough.  But you have to do your part.  Your doctor can help with a prescription to ease your anxiety.

You owe it to yourself and those who love you to find out what's happening!  Please take heart and do what you need to do.

Best of luck!  Let us know how you do.

Like everyone said, you absolutely have to go in. You must force yourself to go no matter how you do it, do it. I am also health phobic and over anxious and I went in, like the others here. Please go in and go through the checks.
