hi i am 24 year old girl. i went to the ER 3 days ago because i had flank pain and back pain and i was running an 100.1 fever. doctors did blood test CBC/lipase/c protein/ lactic acid/ everything came back normal, i had a transvaginal scan done in ER and they found an hemorrhagic cyst on my left ovary. i was freaking out and so anxious because i was scared it was cancer, he calmed me down and told me it was not that at all most likely. now today i am noticing alot of vaginal bleeding and i am scared my cyst ruptured and if i should go back to the ER. i dont have fever or vomitting but i feel full and bloated and im freaking out i havent slept since i left the ER. i was shaking so much. they didnt admit me because i guess it wasnt so serious. but now there is alot of bleeding. 3 years ago they suspected i had endometriosis and last year i had an small ovarian cyst 1-2 year ago but not a one with a hemorrhage its much more intense. i have irregular periods as well every 4-5 months i dont have them. the pain is unbearable and i feel like my insides are burning and being pulled out. i am scared if i should go the ER or not. i dont want to bleed to death. the doctor also told me they will resolve on its own even when bleeding. i have an appointment with my gyno on thursday but i am still so scared does anyone have any info or similar experience?

whatever happened? Did you end up going to the hospital?

no i got heavy vaginal bleeding, which i am unsure if the cyst ruptured or what is causing it. i think i am on my cycle now because there are blood clots coming out as well. i can go 3, 4-5 months without a period sometimes. i have a obgyn appoinment scheduled this coming thursday. i went to the ER at 11pm thursday and they did blood tests and transvaginal scan and they found a bleeding cyst. tests were all normal. they say it will go away on its own but i have severe crippling anxiety i was shaking so much in the ER i thought i would faint. now im just dealing with heavy vaginal bleeding and bloating and cramping that is uncomfortable that comes on and off like contractions. i can barely bend over at times but it has gotten bareable today im starting to feel better. i was just wondering about internal bleeding which at the ER, they told me there was no infection or nothing. i am thinking its just my period that came on but im unsure

oh ok. glad you were feeling better. Remember that anxiety can magnify our thoughts and create negative thoughts. Those are not based on fact. You’re going to be OK. Those cysts happen a lot in women.
