hi would be helpful if you say how long you have been taking sertraline, what dose you started on, and then which inceases you have had and how long between increases, and how much of an increase eg. 50mg etc

I was on 25mg back in August and increased to 50mg but was switched to another generic when that happened. It made me really sick but I stayed on it for 4 weeks before my doc realized what had happened. I have switched back to a brand I know works for me and it's been 11 days of the intense anxiety at 50mg

Hi Lauren, i started Sertraline 50g a year ago and kept a diary so i can tell you it took me 6 weeks before i really started to have more good days than bad, it used to be a case of a couple of good days and then slipped back a bit, i thought i would never feel better but stick with it as it does work. I had some awful side effects, i had the jitters, was frightened being on my own, nausea, headaches and waking up with severe anxiety and having to run to the loo. My doctor gave me Diazapam 2mg to take along side the Sertraline for the first two weeks, they did help but i was cautious about taking them as they are very addictive, But it  nice to know i had them there. i only needed them on the very bad days. I hope you will start feeling better soon. Good luck.
