Hello,

I'm a 21-year old female virgin, I have been with the same guy for around a year and half. He didn't do anything with anyone else and so am I, we have unprotected skin to skin sexual encounter but without penetration.

2 weeks ago he was putting his finger inside my vaginal hole and he felt those bumps. He didn't think too much of it and I didn't even know I had them. I was randomly checking over myself and I found symmetrical bumps in the shape of lines in my labia minora. I went to the gynecologist at first she said they kinda don't look like warts, and then after examining them with the touch she said they might be warts or VP she doesn't know - but she still gonna give me treatment as if they're warts because if they are then I'm safe.

I don't know wtf is this honestly but I really need your help. I attached pictures that are NSFW of the bumps.

P.S the doctor's treatment she gave me betadin vaginal wash - vebramicin antibiotic - silver nitrate paint (???) this thing burns and I am scared.image

pls check the attached pictures.

      Hello dear Kim,

Thank you so much for your reply. I am still really worried because these little bumps are all over my labia minora (on the inside). I want to show you a video of it because I don't have access to planned parenthood/sexual help in my country of residence.

If you may, would you please PM me your number? With the country code.

      Thank you

they are vesibular papillomatosis and are benign they are not hpv or anything to worry about vp are common inside the labia and around the vaginal opening and are symmetrical so they appear on both sides of the labia theres no treatment for them

      google vestibular papillomatosis

I did. But my gynecologist said that on one side there are more bumps than the other, and she said that some of these bumps are kind of 'hard' to feel so she's going the safe way and prescribing me a treatment.

After all, please ease my anxiety and tell me that warts don't look like this at all.

I posted another picture in the replies that is deeper down the labia minora and near the vaginal opening, please check it and tell me if it is still VP

they look like vp they can be small and bumpy or like skin protrusions so they can vary in size some doctors if they cannot tell if they are vp or warts will opt to remove them to be on the safe side but in most cases it turns out to be vp so doctors find it hard to distinguish between the two

the silver nitrite will remove them if thy are vp warts or skin tags it usually works well do u have a vaginal infection as wondering why they prescribed the vembramicin

the betadin wash is an anticeptic to stop the area getting infected u should used the silver nitrite an wash as prescribed by your doctor and see if that gets rid of them it sounds like they are treating them as warts or skin tags

My doctor is treating it as if it is HPV because she cannot be 100% sure that they're VP. So she said we'll just stay on the safe side, take the treatment and if you don't have warts then the treatment wouldn't harm you but would be a precaution/prevention. I am scared to use the silver nitrate thingy, fearing that it might be a very harsh substance on the labia minora since it's delicate skin. Also, scared that it might cause cancers or anything. Should I just stick to the antibiotic and betadin wash?

Lastly, a silly question but is there a risk for cancer? I'm scared.

the low strains of hpv that cause warts dont cause cervical cancers those are caused by the higher risk strains that do not cause warts

the silver nitrite will not cause cause cancer but will get rid of the growths u should use it if its been prescribed to u just make sure u get it on the bumps and not the rest of your skin

Alright thank you so much. But overall I don't have warts right? Like these growths that you've seen don't look like warts?

Alright, I'll just stick to the antibiotic and betadine wash because I asked a pharmacist and I got informed that silver nitrate is harsh on the delicate skin of the labia minora. That will do?

    • Posted

no it will not get rid of them as i said above u need to use the silver nitrite

your doctor has provided u with treatment u should therefore use it
