Please help me :(

I was on 150 mg of Sertraline for a year (along with 300 mg of Trileptal once a day, 1 mg of Klonopin twice a day, and 15 mg of Remeron) and I was doing so good. Then, I don't know what changed, but my mood swings started going out of control. I was going from irritable to angry to anxious to sad. Then, I had my first panic attack in a year - while I was driving!

So, I went to my doctor and she increased my Sertraline from 150 mg to 200 mg and my Trileptal from 300 mg once a day to 300 mg twice a day (the other two meds have stayed the same). After starting the new doses, I started feeling this uncomfortable sensation that my throat and chest were too tight. I dealt with it for about 3 days before I finally called my doctor. She told me to go back to 150 mg of Sertraline and 300 mg of Trileptal once a day. She said give it a week, then try 1 increase at a time. So yesterday and this morning, I took 200 mg of Sertraline. The tightness in my throat and chest is back and I feel so anxious - like a panic attack could happen at any moment. I hate it rolleyes So, my question is: 1. Do I try and power through it, to see if it gets better; 2. Should I try taking a 100 mg dose in the morning and a second in the late afternoon/evening; 3. Should I go back to 150 mg and try increasing the Trileptal instead?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm sorry this was so long rolleyes

Also, one of the main effects of a dose increase of sertraline is increased anxiety. Which totally sucks, but it might be normal until it builds up

That does suck rolleyes But today, I did try out the taking the 1st 100 mg dose in the morning and the 2nd in the early evening and I think it was easier to handle. So, I'm going to keep doing it that way for now and hopefully get it built up enough that my anxiety will start decreasing.

Just make sure the generic brand hasn't changed. This happened to me in August and made me feel awful. It still was sertraline, but a different manufacturer
